At its core, D&I is about understanding and making space for diversity of thought and experience – both of which are essential to creative problem-solving and driving innovation. To be successful, innovative organizations need to create inclusive spaces that encourage, not merely “allow,” those with opposing points of view a chance to voice their opinions and be part of the process. Without trust, inviting dissent, fostering productive discussions while effectively navigating conflict can be challenging, particularly on diverse teams.
This program explores the importance of understanding awareness and intention on improving interpersonal communication and building trust. We approach building long-lasting, authentic workplace relationships through the lens of self-awareness and self-control. By developing a clear consciousness of self through the practice of mindfulness, understanding and managing trust, and applying the basics of conscious communications, teams can cultivate stronger, more dynamic, and trusted relationships.
